Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has made a name for herself in the industry with her versatile performances. For the past few years, she has been making the headlines for her blunt and bold statements on social media, which has also gotten her in trouble. She had recently taken to her official handle to share a harmless post about the Dalai Lama and US President Joe Biden being friends. Her joke hasn’t gone down well with a section of people.

She took to her Instagram stories again to issue a clarification on the matter and share a video of people protesting outside her Mumbai office in Pali Hill, Bandra. On Friday, through her social media post she went on to explain how a group of Buddhist people are protesting outside her office. For the unversed, it was on April 12th, that she had posted a meme on her Instagram story that has “The Dalai Lama receives a warm welcome at the White house” written on it. In the picture of the meme, the US president was seen photographed in front of the Dalai Lama, as the spiritual leader stuck his tongue out. She had gone on to write in the caption, “Hmmm dono ko same bimari hai, definitely dono ki dosti ho sakti hai.”

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Emergency, her first solo directorial project. She will be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. A period political drama, the movie is based on the emergency period in India during the mid-70s, which was announced by the then PM. She also has RSVP Movies’ Tejas, Chandramukhi 2 and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda in the pipeline.
